The Dickey Family Pledged Allegiance to the Douglas Families in Scotland & Ireland for 500 years ago. My Great Uncle Robert Dickey started the Idea of Clan Dickey (www.clandickey.com) over 10 years ago. He never started a membership group because I said to him 8 years ago that it would be better to be part of Clan Douglas and keep the family get together each year in Springfield Ill since 1960. I join Clan Douglas Society of North America as Life Member 7 years ago. I started working with Clan Douglas as a Regent in 2003 in Southern CA. In 2005 I got my cousin in Illinois to become Southern Ill. Regent. I want to build Clan Douglas Membership by doing fun things together as a family. In Southern CA we started a local board to plan group actives to do between the Celtic Festival and Scottish Highland Games. If you like Beach Parties, History, Picnics, Camping & Bowling come join us.
My future plans.
1. Is to have Set up a National Board for Clan Dickey under Clan Douglas Bylaws.
2. Have National General Meeting every 4 years somewhere in USA.
3. Local get together with other Clan Douglas Families.
4. DNA Program to Add to Clan Douglas DNA Program
