| Clansmen, Happy St Paddy's Day! I just found a link to the Purple Heart Hall of Honor dedication in New York that was attended by Senators Bill Larkin and Hillary Clinton, Governor Pataki, 3rd Army CDR LTG Whitcomb and about 10,000 spectators and Purple Heart recipients. As you may know I was invited there on Veterans Day to perform for the Grand Opening of the Museum and donate my Combat Bagpipes and a Desert Uniform top.
Video 3 at the bottom of the screen (8.03 Minutes long) has me getting introduced, playing the pipes and handing them over for display.. This was the same set of Pipes that I used in Iraq for 15 months and also to jump with on Airborne Operations all over the world. I used to strap them on my leg inside a machine gun holder and pull them out and play them as soon as I hit the ground. My guys used to say it was really wild at night to be floating down after exiting the plane and hear the sound of the pipes drifting up... I have heard that the case they are in now at the Museum is interactive and you can hear me playing them?! The Museum is located in Newburg, New York outside West Point and was the site of Washingtons winter camp during the Revolution. Anyway, when you are bored here is the link.
